Photographer of the Week (2)

Jenah Yamamoto 

Jenah more commonly goes by the name Gypsy One. She is a native Hawaiian who resides in LA but she is currently traveling the world. Her goal is to go to every country within the next 5 years. Besides being a photographer, she is a graffiti artist and model. I think being on both sides of the camera is an advantage for her as a photographer as well as when she is modeling because she understands what the photographer is seeing as she models, and it can help her in giving her models direction because she understands what its like to be in their shoes.  Her photographs are sometimes sensual and they capture the beauty of the human body so well. More recently she has been taking stunning photos of her travels and documents even the messy parts of travel. She is only 21 years old and I think thats why I am especially drawn to her because she is my age and has already accomplished so much with her work. She is definitely an inspiration of mine and has taken every opportunity presented to her.
